Today, @SEEC welcomed scientists who are fighting to protect U.S. climate & weather research from devastating federal funding cuts. These scientists marched 12-days, 250-miles to highlight how funding cuts, disinformation, mass firings, & grant terminations have impacted the health and well-being of our families and U.S. scientific leadership on the international stage.

This Administration failed in the Courts to try to block progress towards a clean energy future, so now they are attempting to bribe companies to stop building offshore wind projects. Returned to Paʻakea Road with Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation and the Navy to follow up on flooding near the dip in the road and continue working toward solutions for the community.

We walked through the problem areas, discussed how to better manage the water draining into the roadway, and made sure residents’ concerns were heard directly by the partners involved.
