The SFTU is an intermittently active coalition of formerly homeless Permanent Supportive Housing Tenants fighting for economic justice & adequate housing.
@shlumpsters@RileyTX@HolierThanMao Saikat is currently losing all 501 precincts in SF. If you can't carry a single precinct, that tells you how brutal this loss is.
Really hope Prop D pulls through. It only needs 50%+1 to pass.
Mayor Daniel Lurie has declared horrific cuts to life-saving services for the city’s working poor in his Big Ugly Budget this June. It’ll be a bloodbath without revenue from D.
@DanielR00191707@Yokozunayummy32@bigkiitten The rhetorical compulsion that people who do not identify with YIMBY ideology are automatically NIMBYs is fundamentally dishonest.
A more true frame would be to say people who care about the working class and people who don’t.

Every candidate in San Francisco who supported the Family Zoning Plan won by a landslide last night.
If it wasn't already clear, building more housing is popular.
YIMBYs are here to stay.
@DanielR00191707@Yokozunayummy32@bigkiitten Pelosi’s endorsement didn’t boost Chan as much as some people are saying. Chan has actually built her base of support. Saikat simply hasn’t, other than trying to buy it.
@DanielR00191707@Yokozunayummy32@bigkiitten Not quite. It was about trustworthiness and who has fealty to the working class. Connie Chan is a proven entity who has built support over years. Saikat has no history in SF other than amassing tech wealth, and using that wealth to build and align himself w/ right wing power.
@DB0ii69@hartache2@IM_Ramble@KareemRifai There’s not evidence that she took money from AIPAC indirectly. Anyway, whatever Ryan Grim and Shoyboy’s team was trying to do to Connie didn’t work.
