Out of pure curiosity (I know paying a fee isn't for everyone) --- is there a flat dollar amount you'd feel comfortable playing for retirement strategy & distribution advice?
With a 500k portfolio, 1% = 5k. You don't see the value. For $250, total, you probably do see value but it may not be worth it to an Advisor from a time standpoint (quarterly hour-long meetings, half hour of combined prep and follow up per meeting would be 6H/year, which is less than $50/H)
Is there a number that splits the difference that you'd feel confident is value add?
