@MichelleDech3 That’s awesome. My school competes in First Lego League for robotics ! I was able to volunteer and judge one of their competitions and it was so rewarding to see all the cool stuff they do! #wuedt6020
@khainsey22 That’s awesome! Im sure it was a great opportunity for kids to get involved and practice coding skills over the summer ! @GirlsWhoCode is another awesome opportunity #wuedt6020
@HannumKendra ESports are growing in popularity. I wouldn’t be surprised if many schools began to offer this as an option in the next few years!

@khainsey22 I think students can express themselves using technology They can use it to share interests as well as connect with the class if they are physically not able to be there They can share music games theyre into with peers & teachers to make meaningful connections

@ChallburgTeach@McCoolWILMu My favorite Web 2.0 took for promoting creativity and collaboration has been Canva. Students are able to create and design various projects that are polished and look professional. Its easy to use and has plenty of ready made templates !

@MrKppnhvr The most challenging part has been student accountability - its hard to provide equitable and concrete solutions that work for all students. There are currently no school wide policies in place and a lack of consistency among what is expected from each teacher

@EdTechGary @McCoolWILMu@EdTechLaura I agree. It’s hard to compare Ed tech to traditional instruction because traditional instruction is the foundation and using technology is an extension of that. I don’t necessarily think it’s better I think it’s a tool used to enhance the traditional model
Week 4 #wuedt6020
@Carolin99750791@McCoolWILMu@EdTechLaura Yes! In addition to making content more engaging and interactive, it can also allow kids to explore and learn on their own While I agree with you not limiting to place/perspective/integration we have to make sure that Ss have equitable access to materials
Week 4 #wuedt6020
@McCoolWILMu@EdTechLaura There are obviously things that are important to do in a traditional way - math computation or handwriting but many things can be enhanced with the use of technology I am finding that using tech makes it easier to collect and analyze data to improve instruction
Week4 #wuedt6020
@EdTechGary @McCoolWILMu@EdTechLaura There is so much information about AI it is a little bit intimidating to me But I agree I think it is necessary to introduce students to help prepare them for the future Seeing students use AI outside of the classroom for things like robotics is super rewarding
Week 3 #wuedt6020
@ChallburgTeach@McCoolWILMu@EdTechLaura@EdTechMilkshake I switched positions mid year and now teach in a multiple disabilities class that requires me to take a lot of data. I would love to explore more resources that make taking data and analyzing it more efficient and effective
Week 3 #wuedt6020
@McCoolWILMu@EdTechLaura Week 3 #wuedt6020 One trend I am interested in implementing is gamification. I feel like it this can be a really valuable tool. You can meet students where they are by doing something they are interested in! This helps them make authentic connections with the content!
