@Bellamy_Saluter@Littoria14 "prolific American revisionist author."hat says it all.
I can't allow anyone who uses wikipedia to waste any more of my time.
I have read too many books written by reputable historians over many years to take any notice of a wikipediast.Don't bother me again & I won't bother you
@Bellamy_Saluter@Littoria14 I wrote,"Hitler tried several several times. Spain was totally unprepared to enter WW2. It was too weak after the Civil War". That is not a falsehood.
The Germans did not enter Spain. That is not a falsehood.
After WW2 Spain was so weak that people were literally starving.
@Bellamy_Saluter@Littoria14 What I wrote the first time is correct. If you're contradicting it you are wrong. Franco would not even allow German troops to enter Spain and seize Gibraltar.
@Bellamy_Saluter@Littoria14 "If Hitler had made the necessary concessions to bring Franco's Spain into the war,"
Hitler tried several several times. Spain was totally unprepared to enter WW2. It was too weak after the Civil War
@Littoria14 1st mistake: the US was not involved in El Alamein.
2nd mistake:The British army in North Africa in 1940 of 30000 men defeated an Italian army of 250000.
You've missed the war of 1936 in Ethiopia where the Italians used poison gas to defeat the natives.
@PDL2001@VoicesofWW2 Yes we all know that. So since it was trapped & the Germans had a major battle to fight later with the French & would need their tanks and crews ready for that battle they decided to rest them knowing the BEF could not escape from Dunkirk;a gigantic POW camp the Germans thought
@EnterichsBubble I think your English is letting you down. I occupy my apartment because I am the legal owner of it. I am the occupant.
The Germans were an occupying force, unwelcome & unwanted.
@EnterichsBubble I say Heer as it's distinct from the LW or the KM neither, (maybe LW) in Caen.
And the Germans were responsible for the destruction of Caen just by being there.
@JPEI88PER@KarlRadl The low life passing themselves off as civilised people deserved to lose the war. Germany brought nothing but misery & death to the world so stop belly aching.
@EnterichsBubble One more thing, "it lasted until mid-August due to the stubborn defenders." The Germans were not defenders but unwelcome occupiers of Caen & France. The German role in WW2 was not heroic.
@EnterichsBubble Not English, it's British. Americans weren't in Brit/Canadian sector.
Wehrmacht and SS. Wehrmacht is ALL German forces. It's Heer & SS.
the narrative of the "honorable and victorious British army" has already disappeared from British historiography. You write drivel Gerry.
