#EthiopiaWatch🇪🇹: The Ethiopian National Bank hasn't released any money supply data since Dec 2023.
Meanwhile, inflation is SURGING at 33%/yr by my measure -- 2x the official rate of 16.1%/yr.
PM Abiy Ahmed's Ethiopia = A MASTER OF ECONOMIC DISINFORMATION.
Today, Mamo Mihretu & presidents of commercial banks are in DC to hoodwink diaspora souls to invest in Ethiopia. The question is why should the diaspora invest when foreign investors are leaving Ethiopia?

In stark contrast to the fabricated narrative of "progress" and "prosperity" trumpeted day in and day out by #Ethiopia's autocratic leader #AbiyAhmed and his Prosperity Party, a recent study by the #UNDP and #Oxford University offers a sobering reality check. Link: https://t.co/kPZRAIvcgM.
The report, which examines multidimensional poverty in 112 countries, exposes the grim truth for the majority of Ethiopians, revealing the significant gap between the regime's propaganda and the country’s harsh realities. Despite claims of prosperity, Ethiopia has sunk deeper into poverty and despair under Abiy's rule, with development projects driven by his whims rather than addressing the country's urgent need for sustainable and resilient development, in line with the UN Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development pathway.
According to the UNDP-Oxford research and others, most Ethiopians lack access to basic necessities such as healthcare, education, electricity, and clean water—among key pillars of the UN's Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development. Of Ethiopia's 120 million people, a staggering 86 million—72%—live in poverty, the highest percentage of any country in the world, with half of them being children. Ethiopia's ranking on the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI), 34th out of 41 African nations, is a clear indication of its deterioration.
While millions suffer, the only group that has truly "prospered" under Abiy's regime is the ruling elite of the Prosperity Party, who continue to enrich themselves by plundering the nation's resources. Their indifference to the plight of ordinary Ethiopians is as glaring as the wealth they flaunt—built on the bones and tears of those they have cruelly displaced.
Abiy Ahmed, the chief deceiver and con artist, along with his army of PP cadres, continue to parade the glittering so-called "corridor development" projects in Addis Ababa, as well as vanity undertakings such as eco-lodges scattered across the country, as symbols of "progress" and "prosperity." At the center of this spectacle lies his most megalomaniacal and among his cruelest ventures: a $13 billion palace sprawling over 500 acres in Yeka Sub-city, Addis Ababa. This opulent construction has come at a brutal cost—thousands of residents forcibly displaced, their homes bulldozed, and their lives shattered, all to make way for Abiy's vanity project.
Breaking🚨: At the Global Peace and Unity (GPU) Festival in London, the group known as ‘London Fanos’ gathered in front of the #UAE 🇦🇪 booth, calling out @MohamedBinZayed for being @AbiyAhmedAli’s partner in crime. They condemned him for funding the Abiy Ahmed led Oromuma regime’s genocidal war against the #Amhara people.
