I started my career as a legal advocate for people with mental illness who had no voice. I’ve seen firsthand what happens when people fall through the cracks — and California must do more.

Mental illness is a public health crisis, and we need to treat it like one. As your next Governor, I will strengthen California’s mental health infrastructure and cut the red tape standing between people and care.

We cannot accept a system where people are suffering on our streets without treatment or support. California must lead with urgency, accountability, and compassion — and make sure people get the help they need.
