On the left: a woman following the diet advice of the @AmDiabetesAssn (ADA)
Right: same woman restricting carbs
The ADA's own scientific statements say controlling blood sugar is key for treating diabetes and that keto is best diet for controlling blood sugar. Yet ADA still recommends ample amounts of grains, even desserts (see video below).
What's will it take for the ADA to stop its harmful, diabetes-prolonging advice? A lawsuit? The criticism it gets on social media clearly has little impact (it turned off comments on its video)
This is why Type 2 Diabetes is considered a progressive disease: Because of this malevolent advice that keeps @AmDiabetesAssn in business. And that’s why they hid replies.
1M views! Please RT with your pics of your transformation from following ADA advice to not following.
The ADA has published a scientific statement on how keto is the best diet for blood sugar control--it knows how to help people with diabetes. But Stacey (formerly of Kellogg's) is not telling you that here.
Help me out Twitter. We have done great ratio-ing the ADA for their propoganda of carb inclusion for people with diabetes.

Here is my journey ignoring the ADA and curing my prediabetes
This is a super interesting and powerful experiment of N=1.
When lean and athletic people go on ketogenic diet, their LDL-C can increase dramatically, and these people are called Lean Mass Hyper-Responders.
In this experiment, 12 Oreo cookies per day decreased LDL-C by 71% when statins only by 32% (and 1 week of intense exercise increased LDL-C). The result supports the Lipid Energy Model.

I have high respect for the author @nicknorwitz and other scientists like @AdrianSotoMota@realDaveFeldman@davidludwigmd for the recent publications with data. They are changing the scope of nutrition science!
Lipid Energy Modelと一致する、すごく興味深い実験結果。

Proud to share our clinic’s results:
💥~16% weight loss at one year💥
Massive reductions in:
•Triglycerides
•CRP
•Blood pressure
•Liver enzymes
Massive increase in:
•HDL
No change:
•LDL
While deprescribing ~60+ medications including GLP1 drugs

These results were presented at @TheSMHP Boca and this data will be submitted for publication very soon.
Anorexia nervosa is reversed by a meat-and-fat diet. Publication from 2023. This is in agreement with our experience. Our anorexia nervosa (alternating with binge-eating) patient increased her weight from 29 to 52 kg and is completely healthy and has been without relapse already for 3.5 years.

🚨NEW PAPER: Reanalysis of 'Animal-Based' #KETO Low-Carb Diet (LCD) vs Plant-Based Low-Fat Diet (LFD) Metabolic Ward Trial
Original @NatureMedicine 2021 crossover trial found that LFD led to less energy intake than LCD... BUT they initially 👀overlooked👀a MAJOR diet carryover effect...
Diet order had a massive effect & LCD/#keto-first provides a "metabolic advantage"
👉 LCD first led to reduced energy intake and increased fat loss in both trial arms
👉 Marker of insulin release (C-peptide) in 1st phase predicted energy intake and weight loss in 2nd phase, consistent with Carbohydrate Insulin Model #CIM over the Energy Balance Model
This reanalysis in @jnutritionorg
❌ Invalidates conclusions of the prior study
🍞 Provides support for #CIM
⏳ Will inform the design of future studies: IMPORTANTLY, crossover trials must include adequate washout periods or risk producing misleading data from diet carryover effects

A meta-analysis (MAA) + individual participant data (IPD) analysis of 41 RCTs entailing the #LEM and the #LMHR phenotype.
In 11 years of caring for hundreds of people with obesity and T2D not one had a dramatic increase in LDL CHOLESTEROL I find It’s something that occurs with the slim fit people who go low carb See below
🚀Did your #LDL cholesterol sky-rocket on #keto?
🧈Were you told it' was because of Saturated Fat?
🚨NEW META OF 41 RCTs just busted that MYTH!
https://t.co/wdNizPuYkg
3 Main findings
👉 In studies with 'lean' BMI (<25), LDL-C ⬆️...
... And in those with overweight or class I obesity (25-35), LDL-C didn't change, and in those with class II #obesity (>35), LDL-C ⬇️
💥BOOM, there's a money shot!💥
👉 Inverse association between BMI and LDL-C
👉 BMI dominates over saturated fat, which has comparatively minimal impact; thus, it's more likely having 6-pack abs is a severe risk factor for high LDL-C on #keto, not butter, beef, bacon or cream

Happy National Keto Day🥳
The #ketodiet changed my life forever—in ways I never imagined (like having a new career to help women find the same victories in their weight loss battle)!
I’ll never understand why it gets disparaged—I’m eating whole food from God’s good smorgasbord while being fully satiated and satisfied in what I call this #SugarFreed lifestyle. For me, that’s where it all started—educating myself on the very detrimental effects of our standard way of eating loaded with sugar and hidden sugars…it truly was in so much of what I was eating even when trying to be healthy (looking at you WW treats😡).
❌No pills
❌No potions
❌No skimpy pre-packaged meals
Anyhow, in honor of this day, I wonder, “What can #Keto do for you?”
Well, for starters, maybe some of the things it did for me, like reverse:
✅Obesity
✅Pre-Diabetes
✅NAFLD
✅OSApnea
✅Inflammation & Pain
✅Mood Swings
✅Painful Ovarian Cysts
✅Cystic Acne
✅Acid Reflux
✅Skin-picking disorder
✅Chronic Exhaustion
✅Gut Issues
✅Exercise Induced Asthma
✅Annual Colds & Flu
Just to name a few. Your healing is possible. Would you like to join me in this journey?

#ThisisKeto Conventional advice failed, but my commitment to a low-carb journey led to a 100-pound weight loss, reversing health markers, and avoiding medications. For 15 years now, I've maintained this transformation. It's not a fad but a sustainable, healthy lifestyle.
Today is national Keto day❗️
This way of eating helped reclaim my health
I have used a keto diet in my patients for the past 7 years to consistently reverse type 2 diabetes & improve metabolic health
I had to unlearn all the nutrition dogma I was taught to actually heal
You cannot ignore powerful stories like this.
"He did everything nearly the opposite of what T1D kids are told (they typically run A1cs at 8.0% about triple normal BGL average)."
Diagnosed with T1D in 2013. We fed him steak. We fed him eggs. Daily. He had some veg. We ate the same way. No grains, starch or sugarfood. He ran healthy normal blood sugars (A1c at 5.0% or less). He used plenty of insulin in the LC context and works HARD managing his diabetes. He received college offers to play QB and can throw a football through a concrete wall. He received an academic merit scholarship. He did everything nearly the opposite of what T1D kids are told (they typically run A1cs at 8.0% about triple normal BGL average).
