A Muslim woman from Indonesia came to Japan on a Specified Skilled Worker visa to work at a farm in Kagoshima.
The farm told her not to wear a hijab while working. Their reason was simple:
“It narrows your field of vision, and with agricultural machinery running, sometimes you can’t hear instructions clearly. While you’re in Japan, it would be better to take it off.”
She refused and later quit. After quitting, she claimed she was treated badly — saying even during a company trip she was told not to wear the hijab, and that the founder’s daughters yelled at her to “stop dawdling” and made her run to the fields.
The farm’s response was straightforward:
“She didn’t even join that company trip. And we never told anyone to run to the fields.”
This is the kind of friction that’s already happening when people who refuse to adapt to basic workplace safety rules are brought in.

(When you see or hear people attacking successful people) remember, narcissism is not arrogance, it is built on pure envy.

Here are a couple of thoughts on tomorrow's PCE report (remember, there will be no market reaction as they are closed).
I will focus on what the Fed focuses on: Core PCE.
Below are the 57 economist forecasts, as surveyed by Bloomberg.
For the February Core PCE measure, the median estimate is 0.3%.
52 of the 57 are projecting 0.30%.
1 of 57 is projecting 0.4%
4 of 57 is projecting 0.2%
At his March 20 Presser, Powell said he expects 0.30%
Last Night, Governor Waller said in his speech that he also expects 0.3%.
So ... let's take a wild guess as to what everyone is looking for 🤔
Given the whole purpose of raising interest rates was to defend the dollar and not to fight inflation if the Fed does decide to lower interest rates and they remain lower it will be an admission that the dollar can no longer be defended and QE on steroids has to be implemented.
This will be the final stage in the process leading to the dollar no longer being the WRC.
Dollar bugs don't like to admit that the dollar is now worth less than at any other point in history, in gold terms.
Gold is real money.
