@Hestia_Esq@webdevMason That's true but ED is usually either physiological or caused by performance anxiety, rather than a lack of desire, and the affected party is usually acutely desperate to resolve it, so I'd say it's a different enough situation not to bundle it into the same question.
@Hestia_Esq@webdevMason I think there's a disconnect because a typical man can be 0% "in the mood", stressed about work, etc., but can voluntarily decide to arouse himself if he if he thinks it's a good idea to make his partner happy. He can consciously override his initial lack of desire.
@VKP_25@moontreezone Why is it a misunderstanding? In the UK gravy is meat-based by default but it's not unusual to get vegetarian gravy, and sometimes if there's a single gravy option then it will be vegetarian (e.g. at my work cafeteria) as it is more widely usable.
@Catlover10000S I love AotC and saw it 7 times at the cinema in 2002 but the mystery doesn't make that much sense in its details when you think about it. But at first watch it feels like it makes sense, which is testament to the directing and editing. It really nails the vibe it's going for.
@ArthurBoreman Tabasco is unambiguously a hot sauce. It is a sauce made from chilli peppers, vinegar and salt. It has a Scoville rating of 2,500 - 5,000. What possible confusion could you have?
I had some malware spamming a whole page worth of ads into my Google search results and I never noticed because it was totally believable Google search had gotten that bad.
@Noontangclan As a regular man you sadly have to subscribe 💸 or your profile is unlikely to be shown to your best potential matches. That's how they make their money! Met my now-wife on one of the apps.
@mightydudbolt That AotC shot is a prime example of what's wrong. They move so smoothly when the gunship is moving around them. No constant subtle adjustments as their muscles compensate their balance. No-one can animate that well. I saw AotC as a kid and was so disappointed with the clones.
@aggadahGothic It's not that great for Spanish. The US nativized pronunciation of E and O (as diphthongs "ey" and "oh") in loanwords doesn't even use the closest American vowels to the Spanish ones! Probably because lax vowels can't occur in open syllables within English phonotactics.
@SeaWorldOrBust@SamLee The Italian and Spanish A's are roughly in the middle of British and US versions, but the O's in US "risotto" (and Spanish words such as "Carlos") should be short monophthongs instead of the painfully English "oh" diphthong. Brits get it right for the first "o" in "risotto".
@AdeSaysWhat Curry is not British, but Japanese curry originated when the Japanese Navy started imitating the British Navy's staple curry stew (which came from British rule in India).
@JillFilipovic I can understand how you guys might think you pronounce "a" closer but there's no argument about the diphthong "o" in "risotto", "Carlos" etc.
@MarthaHusain@Weeezin@morallawwithin The final R isn't part of the pronunciation of your name, it's how we pronounce a hiatus between vowels. If we said "This is Martha" there would be no R anywhere.
@LostDoctor312@PunishedHoots "Fillet" (two Ls) is just as English as "budget" and "bonnet" and I'd be surprised if you pronounce those with a French affectation.
@Timstillherelol "Fillet" has been an English word as long as "pronounce" and "especially" and longer than "correctly", I doubt you would say those with a French accent though (it has been an English word longer than French dropped final letters).
@MalikSaqibH@r31gnn You tank your Elo rating by swiping right on people who swipe left on you, and you increase your Elo rating by swiping left on people who swipe right on you. Swiping left can't hurt your Elo. You should only swipe right on people you actually fancy.
