In chapel, Mitchell Chase, Associate Professor of Biblical Studies, preached from Genesis 3:15 and traced the promise that runs through the whole of Scripture. In the midst of judgment, God announced a coming Son who would defeat the serpent through his own suffering and death.

At the cross, what seemed like defeat was victory. The promised Son crushed the serpent’s head, and through Him, the triumph long foretold has come.
