Inspired to hear the #RAFMS Sir Archibald McIndoe lecture this afternoon - awarded to the Defence COVID-19 Rehabilitation and Recovery Service. Great team effort @dms_dmrc @DMS_DG @ClareWaltonRAF 👏👏👏
Another milestone reached in my penultimate week at DMRC, it's been a busy 10 months! Thanks to all the wonderful staff who I've worked with - it's been a big team effort & a great experience @militaryIDdoc@ollieosul@LadlowPete@dms_dmrc
@militaryIDdoc@ACJYorston@edbarn I'm sorry I missed your breakout room! But I've just heard I'll be coming to an AMU near you soon 😅 so maybe you could tell me about it then!
@s_goater1@anthony_gilham 4/Current estimate is 8.7% of adults in England have antibodies - no where near herd immunity. Therefore best chance of avoiding (possibly fatal) illness and having society return to normal is to have, and support mass vaccination. I hope this answers your Q!
@s_goater1@anthony_gilham 3/Herd immunity threshold for covid is estimated 60-80%. With no vaccines, this means 60-80% of the population would need to have been infected. When 1.15% of covid infections are fatal, this would lead to huge numbers of deaths, disability, and would overwhelm healthcare.
