Some silver lining to this pandemic, I’ve been able to be very active on this Twitter account and be exposed to so many different issues that have really opened my eyes on things. This may be my last tweet for this assignment, but I’m definitely gonna stay active here #GenLit15
I was aware of the existence of it but it didn’t dawn on me how preferential of an issue it was. It’s just inhumane the way that some disabled people are treated #GenLit15
Ableds, how many of you were aware of ableism before the pandemic?
Because suggesting people drink bleach as a “cure” isn’t at all new to disabled people...
Please retweet for a larger sample size.
PLEASE DONT LISTEN TO OUR GOVERNOR. Just because things are open does not mean we are anywhere near it being safe enough to go to crowded locations and put others at risk #GenLit15
Listen to this advice. The more of us that do the shorter this captivity will be. If you go out and break the rules all of us will be stuck in much much longer
Y’all are acting like people have the common sense to not inject themselves with household cleaners even after JUST LAST MONTH someone died from ingesting chloroquine (aquarium cleaner) because it SOUNDED SIMILAR to the hydrochloroquine Trump’s been hawking.
@MateyProfessor Terrible decision. You know it’s bad when DONALD TRUMP says you opened it too early. Seems to me like kemps just trying to screw over the working class and avoid giving out checks #GenLit15
Okay guys. I’m starting to hit the point where I’m really just lost on what to do. All I do is play video games and do schoolwork. It’s getting really tough but I know it’s what I need to do so that this can all be over soon #GenLit14
This!! Thank god we have professors like @MateyProfessor that have shown such understanding and leniency in a time like this while still effectively helping all of her students learn #GenLit14
The most disturbing part for me is the lack of remorse trump has shown for his actions. I can’t tell if he even realizes how his actions have put so many more people at risk than needed. #GenLit14
The uncomfortable truth is that Donald Trump left America exposed and vulnerable to this pandemic. He ignored the warnings of health experts and intelligence agencies and put his trust in China's leaders instead. Now, we're all paying the price.
Let me explain how we got here:
Yup. There’s only one thing we should be doing. And that’s STAYING HOME. Do your part and show some empathy!!! This issue is bigger than you wanting to hang out with your friends #GenLit14
@MateyProfessor Definitely disagree with the article. I don’t care what clothes people wear over a zoom call. All that matters to me as a student is learning the material. There’s no point in having to dress up all nice when ur in the comfort of your own home #GenLit14
@SerLadie Yup. It’s especially frustrating that there are some classee that are assigning MORE work than they usually would with actual in person teaching. I don’t see how adding extra stress on the students right now does any help, especially right now. #GenLit14
@max_ncheese Totally agree. Nothing is more therapeutic than a good cry lmao. Definitely not a fan of the stigma of making of telling men that showing emotion is a sign of weakness. Or anyone for that matter #GenLit13
This seems so counterproductive. A lot of people don’t have access to masks due to how high of a demand they’re in. Plus, I don’t see why violence will help anything in this situation #GenLit13
Great article. We need to ensure the protection of those most at risk. Everyone deserves to feel like they are equally cared for in this trying time. #GenLit13 https://t.co/aO6xY5ZDli
@SerLadie Do you know what sport it was? To my knowledge ever major sport, at least in America, is postponed right now. Hopefully It was just a pre recorded game. But yeah, every sport in the world should be suspended rn. There’s no benefit and it’s just prolonging all this mess. #GenLit13
I honestly don’t see how trump handled the first stages of the virus with such ignorance. Thinking that it will just magically go away and putting way more peoples lives at stake than needed. It’s infuriating #GenLit13
22 days ago, Trump described himself as a "wartime president" re: COVID.
Here are the American deaths per day from COVID compared to select wartime conflicts:
COVID -- 792
Civil War -- 520
WWII -- 297
WWI -- 279
Korean War -- 45
Vietnam -- 11
Iraq -- 2
Afghanistan -- 0.36
@ali_kram26 This is gross. I don’t understand the media’s obsession with telling women what the should do with their bodies to fit societies standards of “beauty” Especially when there are plenty of HUGE issues happening right now. #GenLit12
