it’s pretty sad it took a global pandemic to have LGBT people seen like actual human beings who can donate blood like any other person who isn’t, would. there are so many misunderstandings and assumptions about gay men and it needs to change #GenLit12
This ain't perfect by any stretch, but it's progress. I'm looking forward to the day when queer men aren't turned away from donating blood to their community because of an antiquated understanding of medical science and LGBTQ identities.
i agree, it’s really weird that this all happened right after we read the handmaids tale in class because this all feels too similar. it honestly scares me how easy it is for the government to use their ridiculous power for bad and restrict human rights. #GenLit12
