I chaired the second Board of Directors meeting of MGX for 2026, where we reviewed new investments and portfolio performance, and discussed the next phase of growth in a way that strengthens the company’s value and advances its strategic priorities.

We also reviewed MGX’s contribution to the global expansion of AI infrastructure, and the building of high-impact partnerships that support a more efficient, resilient, and future-ready ecosystem.

In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and as the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority marks its 50th anniversary, I chaired the Board meeting, where we reviewed the Authority’s performance during 2025 and the first quarter of 2026, underscoring its strength, consistency, and readiness across changing conditions.

We also discussed regional developments and their implications for the global economy and financial markets, and affirmed the Authority’s ability to maintain strong and steady performance under varying conditions, supported by flexible investment strategies and AI-enabled capabilities.

We take pride in the Authority’s enduring legacy and in the contribution of the founding generation and all national talent who continued its journey, building a leading institution that has supported the UAE economy and strengthened the country’s global presence for five decades.

I welcomed Prime Minister @narendramodi to Abu Dhabi for talks aimed at further strengthening the deeply rooted ties between our nations and peoples. We are pleased to announce the largest transportation project in Dubai: a new 42-kilometre metro line. It will pass through 15 key strategic areas across the city, serve approximately 1.5 million residents, and strengthen connectivity to 55 major real estate developments currently under construction.

The Gold Line project will cost AED 34 billion. It will increase the length of the Dubai Metro network by 35%, and is scheduled for completion on 9/9/2032.

Our landmark projects to position Dubai as the world’s best city to live in are on track.

Our future endeavours will not stop; rather, they will accelerate.
