Karnataka Forest Minister & BTM Layout MLA @RLR_BTM has written to @OfficialBMRCL seeking changes to 3 Metro station names, citing local familiarity, historical/geographical significance and public opinion.

Proposed changes:
• JP Nagar 4th Phase → NS Palya
• Tavarekere → SG Palya
• Dairy Circle → Lakkasandra

He urged BMRCL to consult residents, the public & local leaders before renaming stations.

India had one of the most stringent lockdown in 1st Quarter of FY 2020-21. Economic impact of this is before the world. India is experiencing a big recession with -23.9% GDP growth in Q1. At same time our country is also experiencing biggest daily rise in Covid cases. #COVID19
