I don't tweet often. Just on here to share good info (mostly food/cooking/news), and when baseball season rolls around, enjoy the running commentary. ⚾
Proud parents with their three chicks!
While we are outside the "typical" hatching window, we should recognize that embryo development is influenced by temp. A cold spring like we had this year can slow embryo growth, resulting in a longer hatch window

@linesthebear I've always enjoyed it; not hardcore, but I'd say I'm an enthusiast. Loved Star Trek Next Gen, finally came to know Star Wars in college, liked The Mandalorian, enjoy sci-fi books (loved the Silo series and of course Hitchhiker's Guide). I always think I should read/watch more ;)
@JessicaSarahS@decidetotry Yep exactly, I wasn’t in SF, I was about 30 miles north and so while I felt a huge noise and shake, I was still a good distance away.
Growing up in the Bay Area, I’ve experienced my share of earthquakes. Including 1989. But I have never been scared until today. We felt this 4.4 #earthquake, centered 4 miles away, so violently and so loudly that we felt sure something major had happened. My legs shook for 10m.
Thankfully nothing was damaged and our chimney didn’t crumble (this felt HUGE ok?). We had a few things tumble but nothing broken. For how huge it felt I was surprised more things weren’t toppled. This was so nuts.
California in the news again... there's a new fire that has shut down portions of I-80 west of Truckee, and and EARTHQUAKE just occurred north of San Francisco 🔥⚠️ #cawx#Earthquake#DutchFire
If our mind is not peaceful and tamed, no matter how marvelous the external circumstances are, we will be burdened by frights, hopes, and fears. With a tamed mind, we will enjoy wealth or poverty, health or sickness; we can even die happily.
They say death is life's only certainty.
But for those who remain, grief is certain too.
Let's go on a journey through art, music, and history to see how people have dealt with perhaps the most difficult of all human emotions...
