Thalapathy..!!
I pondered over what to say about this post but then I realised so much has been said already..so just wanted to say one thing..
People may say a 100 different things..
But at the end of the day ..
C.Joseph Vijay is our Chief Minister
And he’s here to stay..!!
Criticism is easy, but being elected as Chief Minister on the first attempt requires immense courage, determination, and an overwhelming love from the people of TN..!! Let’s honor this position of power.
Actions indeed speak louder than words. To those who constantly find faults, time will reveal the truth. Until then, let’s exercise a bit of patience, respect, and encouragement to see what he truly accomplishes.
I loveeeee youuu saaarrrr.. always have always will be a “Vijay Veriyan”
Thank you for meeting with us and spending so much time.!! Laughing about what I told him on the sets of “SARKAR” I knew then that this was his journey..
Always warm and humble..
We even got to discuss few women welfare related issues and I’m looking forward to see the amazing changes unfold for the people of Tamil Nadu..!! God bless you sir and may the people of TN flourish under your leadership ..!!

The level of corruption in India is unprecedented. Many more leaders like @CMOTamilnadu@TVKVijayHQ are needed to come out in the open and call this bribery culture out. Corruption in India has risen faster than inflation. At the central government level, ask for videos of people asking for bribes and reward the people who trap such politicians and officials. All of us will have to come together to rid this country of corruption. We have accepted it as a way of life. We have to stop it.
@MemesClub_Offl@rajinikanth@Suriya_offl But in Thalapathy's perspection, he never thinks that these two fellas need to meet him. My bro doesn't care whether he is a lion or fox. He is always a lion. If I wnt to say correctly in ur tone A tiger is always a tiger. If u wnt suriya to be a lion ok🤷 but sottaiyana solatha

The sheer audacity of ordering an elected Chief Minister to "apologize" and "stop this nonsense NOW" says far more about your own sense of entitlement. You're a journalist, not his advisor, and certainly not the authority that decides how a democratically elected government should function. You are entitled to have your opinions but that doesn't mean he needs lessons on governance from commentators on social media. He was elected by the people of Tamil Nadu with a mandate to govern, and those administrative decisions are his to make within the framework of the law.
We all know where your loyalties lie. The mask is off with this tweet.
If Vijay's victory is difficult to stomach, that's your personal problem, and not a governance crisis.
At the second Cabinet meeting, CM Vijay warned ministers that any instance of corruption or irregularity would invite strict action. Stressing zero tolerance for corruption, he said there should be no room for irregularities in any government department.
My Experience with the RTO: Today vs. 8 Years Ago
It was 1996 when the Tamil movie Indian was released. It focused heavily on the deep-rooted corruption within RTO (Regional Transport Office) offices in Tamil Nadu. The movie was supposed to sound the alarm and raise public awareness to help reduce corruption. Instead, bribery became more normalized than ever before. For the past 30 years, it felt like only middlemen could walk into an RTO and actually get anything done.
In 2018, when we moved back to India from the US, I had a naive mindset and a strong will not to pay bribes. I had purchased a used tractor for agricultural use. Despite having all the proper paperwork, I had to make at least a dozen trips to the RTO office, spending several months waiting before I finally succeeded. I made it my mission to persist and win. I did eventually succeed in registering the vehicle, but it came at a heavy cost to my time and emotional well-being. At the end of the grueling process, the assistant to the RTO laughed as he signed the papers and asked me to at least buy a flag for ₹50.
Since then, I evolved into a "normal" Tamilian because survival comes first. Bribes had simply become a normalized part of life.
Even after the 2026 election results and @TVKVijayHQ public stance against bribery, I still didn't voluntarily choose to go to the RTO office myself this time.
However, I went today because a middleman told me, "Sir, please go yourself, as middlemen are no longer encouraged inside the offices." To my surprise, I walked in alone with the paperwork from my dealership. The entire process took two and a half hours. All of the staff members were courteous, except for the brake inspector. He reminded me of the movie Indian—he easily could have worn me down, but I persisted, driven by the hope given to us by our CM, @TVKVijayHQ sir.
What gave me real hope, though, was the RTO officer himself. As he signed the papers, he explicitly told us, "You will be given a username and password to pay online. Please do not pay any money to anyone else." I never imagined I would hear those words inside an RTO office in my lifetime.
Today, I got the work done with absolutely zero bribes. A huge thanks to Thiru. Vijay Avl and the people for electing him as our CM.
I will write a separate post soon detailing where process reforms are still required based on my experience. Many British-era rules still exist; changing them will reduce corruption to an even greater extent.

Tamil Nadu Government will now stand with us to uproot drug abuse. Met the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Shri. Joseph Vijay, in Chennai today. He appreciated our 'Operation Toofan' mission. Extended Kerala's support and appreciation for the anti-drug crusade led by Shri. Vijay in Tamil Nadu.
Another happy news—he has also conveyed that he will soon visit Kerala to join us in this fight.
