The physical risks to surrogate mothers are much higher than in standard IVF and natural conceptions - tho its not clearl why. https://t.co/xhrmZl1Zvi via @medical_xpress
@K21Becky@LandonCalzonian@marycatedelvey Are you really suggesting that women are violent and sexually violent at the same or similar levels to men? That categorically untrue.
@cremieuxrecueil@PunishedBPHM I think this refers to the “too smart by half” cohort - the autists who excel in narrow areas - maths geniuses say. At that level of maths genius it probably is reasonably hard to function normally . It’s more than smart. It’s a useful abnormality. Smart people are fine.
@MarinaPurkiss I think Elon has been given quite a bit of shit tbf. The child clearly shouldn’t have been there - for everyone’s sake including his own. He wasn’t coping. Thats why his mother was appalled and any mother in a similar situation wouldn’t have actually done it.
@chester_fence@Docstockk 2/2 the principle of sanctity of life is regarded as illegitimate because it is a fundamentally religious idea. Therefore the chief guiding principle for secular bioethics is respect for autonomy, tempered by the obligation to protect vulnerable people from exploitation.
@chester_fence@Docstockk It’s liberalism - and a form of biolibertarianism. The left falls in line behind it in the name of personal autonomy / human rights. 1/2
@wenche_flaata You def should keep it long . I have very short hair and have had since I was 19. I’m looking forward to going grey so I can grow it long and wear it in a beautiful bun.
@Mums4Refugees@SusieNoonan2 Fortunately, there has been no Israeli genocide on any measure, nor any such goal. Compare this with the explicitly genocidal Hamas charter. No need to read between the lines there. The eradication of State of Israel and the Jewish people is a goal in so many words.
@renterclass @_davidlimbrick And the long held principle that children ought to put off life changing medical decisions until they are mature. Children do make life changing medical decision daily but historically such decisions have always been tested with great caution.
