A decisive step towards securing India’s digital future is underway. Today, on World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, SRM University-AP, Amaravati, announces the establishment of a 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗱 in collaboration with 𝗖-𝗗𝗢𝗧 (@CDOT_India) and 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆—an initiative set to redefine cybersecurity, communication infrastructure, and technological resilience in the quantum era.

Guided by the visionary leadership of 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗡. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗯𝘂 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝗱𝘂 (@ncbn), Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and supported by 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗟𝗼𝗸𝗲𝘀𝗵 (@naralokesh), Hon’ble Minister for Human Resources Development, Information Technology and Electronics, the initiative aligns with India’s 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, strengthening the nation’s preparedness against emerging threats posed by quantum computing and AI.

Prof. Ch. Satish Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of SRM University-AP, Amaravati, emphasised that the university is actively shaping India’s quantum capabilities, while Dr Raj Kumar Upadhyay (@rkupadhyay), CEO, C-DOT, highlighted the importance of indigenous innovation in building secure digital ecosystems. Mr C V Sridhar (@sridharcv), Mission Director, Andhra Pradesh State Quantum Mission - Amaravati Quantum Valley, noted that the collaboration reflects a powerful ecosystem-driven approach to position India as a global leader in quantum technologies.

With cutting-edge research in Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), and next-generation telecom systems, this Test Bed will serve as a high-impact platform for innovation and collaboration. The initiative further cements Andhra Pradesh’s growing stature as a hub for frontier technologies and future-ready research.

A Day of Innovation and Inspiration at C-DOT!

@CDOT_India had the honour of having Shri Govind Mohan, IAS, Hon’ble Home Secretary, for an engaging visit that showcased how C-DOT’s #indigenous technologies are shaping the secure #digital backbone of the #nation.

The interaction began with an in-depth presentation and discussion on C-DOT’s #innovation roadmap - covering its role in developing next-generation #telecom, #cybersecurity, and #quantum communication solutions. The conversation reflected a shared vision of strengthening #secure, #scalable, and #sustainable digital infrastructure through home-grown R&D.

The visit then transitioned into live demonstrations across C-DOT’s advanced #labs. #5G Call Demo highlighted India’s capability in establishing end-to-end connectivity. @ITU -CAP based Early Warning and @3GPPLive based #CellBroadcast system for timely #disaster alerts. #TRINETRA, C-DOT’s cybersecurity platform, demonstrated its ability to detect and mitigate threats in real time, while #MCX (Mission Critical Communications) revealed how secure #communication empowers first responders during crisis situations. #AI-based Surveillance Systems - including face recognition, #intrusion, and object detection - reflected the role of intelligent analytics in #PublicSafety. The exploration concluded with C-DOT’s pioneering work in Post-Quantum Cryptography (#PQC) and Quantum Key Distribution (#QKD) - preparing India’s communication ecosystem for the quantum-secure future.

The visit was more than a showcase - it was a reaffirmation of how #innovation, when driven by purpose, can power a self-reliant, secure, connected and "Atmanirbhar Bharat".
