Somewhere along the way we lost sight of the fact that when we harm nature, we harm ourselves. We need to return to our roots and protect what we have and rebuild what we have destroyed. Nature is priceless.💚☘️🌿🌱🌳🌲🍀💚
The country and the region at large are witnessing rapid environmental and climatic changes occasioned by among others; increased deforestation, swamp reclamation, pollution and general environmental degradation among others.
I have previously emphasized the need for climate change mitigation through tree planting, responsible environment and natural resource use amongst others.
Today, I reiterate my call for all of you to champion environment conservation in your respective localities.
With the return of the rains, I urge you all to lead tree planting campaigns in your constituencies.
I will be communicating plans by the Parliamentary Commission for a robust nationwide tree planting campaign.
Yesterday I joined my amazing friends, the Little Hands Go Green Ambassadors from Bukedea Township Primary School to plant trees at Bukedea Teaching Hospital. I applaud them for spearheading the campaign to restore our environment through tree planting.@LilHandsGoGreen@JosephMasembe1.

Through our ongoing Green awareness campaign in schools, we visited Bethany High school, engaged students about best practices of env't conservation, had a spirited presentation from students towards env't conservation.
We planted trees as we concluded our day's activity!!

While commemorating the World Environment Day, the @SavegreeneryUg visited Makerere college school. We told the students that protecting the environment provides resources that are essential to our well-being and quality of life. We even planted some trees!!
