@DavidDPaxton This kind of reminds me of the "so what you're saying is..." interview that Cathy Newman did with Jordan Peterson
Hamfisted out of all proportion and failed as a result
@Terrapins247 Top MD uniforms ever were the Nike ones. And I liked the M with the flag helmets. But some of the '12-'13 ones were nice as well. Since then, though, its all been downhill:
@UnbeknownstDude It is interesting that there is such a huge divide in this because a much larger majority of kids now are overweight, not active, and completely screens addled and dependent
This ends up driving more social bifurcation
@DanSchneierNFL The big question for 2026 era offenses is explosives and how to generate them. I don't know what the plan is there but Nagy's track record on this doesn't seem great.
@GiveMeMangaRecs@DanSchneierNFL 2021 was a turning point, I think, in losing trust in the organization
They cut linemen in camp they didn't have the depth to cut, and we thought, surely there is a plan, right?
The plan was stick routes, the same zone runs, and under Kitchens, QB sneaks on 3rd and 9
@RandallSPQR@MT_6226 One thing I noticed is that they were very politically correct with Muslim villains by always having Muslim anti-terrorists be prominent. They didn't tend to do the same with other groups in the series
@RandallSPQR@MT_6226 24 was made before 9/11 I believe and the baddies were .... Serbian UltraNats ... For the First Season
They did have seasons with Muslim baddies but just as often they tended to be domestic militia types or in one case, Chinese Intelligence (somehow involving Jack's Father)
@pratiktwts@Satvik_Pen I'd say it was the 1880s when American industry actually attained something like global scale and developed alongside a financial industry that was new and extraordinarily successful in capital investment
Ironically, it very much made the 1893 panic "worth it"
@petespiliakos@feelsdesperate That's fair - she does embrace the biggest electoral liability of the Democrats which is pro-crime sentiment through their prosecutor project
I am more bullish on her in a primary because there's no figure who seems like they can consolidate the Biden 2020 primary coalition
@petespiliakos@feelsdesperate It's the Democrat's race to lose in 2028 and I think for all her negatives with older voters in particular it won't matter much in the end
@TheGirondin@atlanticesque I'm more bullish on SS than Medicare because there are obvious things to do. With Medicare it's not obvious what fixes it and there are constant political pressures to extend what is already a very inefficient system
@TheGirondin@atlanticesque Eliminating the cap on taxable SS income and probably some changes to how the yearly increase works which the AARP will scream bloody murder on
@uMarhobane Imagine how infuriating it must be to find out the English/Afrikaans audience for news is a lot of people like said uncle, and that the news side of their job is mostly reporting that confirm his priors
So of course they're gonna look for more psychically satisfying enemies
@uMarhobane They got motivated to go into journalism because they grew up on Rainbowism. What annoys them most is not the ongoing de-development of SA, but rather people who notice it. The ultimate evil for this crowd is their uncle who makes jokes they find to be racist about quotas
@bkoo I deleted their app because of this
The thing kills battery rapidly anyways and the only thing I'd use for is live games where the problem is even worse and the stream quality is poor
