You gotta love how ex-Catholics/Christians use Arbiter dropping his beliefs in the Covenant in Halo 2 as the foundation for why they left the church.

I've seen people tweet about this, but they have it all wrong. The Covenant is not based on Christianity or Catholicism.

The Covenant is quite literally based on Islam (nonbelievers are vermin who deserve to be wiped clean from the galaxy) and they literally have PROPHETS leading them. And their "falah" is considered a journey (The Great Journey). It couldn't be more obvious.

Halo 2 was developed during the aftermath of 9/11, and so the story was rooted in patriotic militarism and protecting what we value most.

Something to consider for anyone who thinks they have life figured out without God. You're not above the mysteries in this life that can only be revealed by the almighty Father. I will continue to pray for nonbelievers regardless.

Halo fans are getting angry at 343/HS for not understanding what Halo fans wanted because of Project Reclaimer being so cool and fun.

Mods that were enabled by modern mod tools that wouldn't exist without 343/HS releasing them publicly specifically so fans could use them

@EzriMuldoon Had official tools for 2 games. Without the tools, we would need to figure out some wild workaround for the Halo 3 mods we're enjoying right now.

The point of my post is to remind folks that 343 made these mods easier to make. That was it, not trying to undermine fans or say the company was perfect in every way

Custom Edition and Vista were sweet but that was all we had. Both very old ports. We could mod consoles sure, but the release of official tools for *6 Halo games* was praised for a reason
