Since it’s too hard to imagine #femalegeologist working in South America and similar remote places, here pics of me, a Venezuelan #WomenInTheField doing numerous summer fieldwork in the #Windermere in the SE Canadian Cordillera. @AAPG
Thrilled to share that our poster on the preparation behind 38th International Geological Congress @igc2028canada will be at #GACMAC2026!

Sky full of stars.
Following a successful lunar flyby, the Artemis II astronauts captured this breathtaking photo of our galaxy, the Milky Way, on April 7, 2026.
“You can see the surface of the Moon…we just went sci-fi.”
On flight day seven, images from our @NASAArtemis II crew amazed, turning science fiction to reality. From the lunar far side to a solar eclipse from the Moon, the views are EVERYTHING. No pressure to pick a favorite.
We'll have 3 space-to-Earth connections with Jeremy Hansen in the next days. They will last approx. 20 minutes and will be livestreamed. These connections are made possible thanks to the Deep Space Network, which NASA uses to communicate with its spacecrafts.
The Artemis II test flight is humanity’s first crewed lunar mission in more than 50 years. 🌕 And this time, Canada is on board. @astro_jeremy and his crewmates will launch from Florida for a nearly 10-day journey.

The Moon, revealed through its geology. 🌗
Explore the Unified Geologic Map of the Moon! Created by @usgs_astrogeo, in collaboration with @nasa and other partners, this first-ever comprehensive map reveals the Moon’s entire surface geology, combining Apollo-era data with recent satellite missions.
It not only shows the 4.5-billion-year history of our lunar neighbor, but also serves as a key tool for future human missions and an invaluable resource for scientists, educators, and space enthusiasts.
