We support @romankemp’s call for the Government to commit to a 100% rollout of Mental Health Support Teams in schools. Proper support needs to be in place for all young people who need it. Thank you Roman for bravely sharing your story and for shining a light on what so many young people are going through.

When it comes to self-harm, young people have told us it's helpful when parents...
1/ Are open-minded and don’t make assumptions
2/ Remember that their child is not doing this for attention – it’s their way of letting out the pain on their terms
3/ Let their child know they are there to help, and aren’t going to judge them
4/ Listen to them and offer reassurance – things like ‘I’m proud of you’, ‘we will get through this together’ and ‘I recognise your pain and want to help’
These four things can make a big difference.
I am looking for 16-25 year olds in the UK to take part in my study about self-harm. Must have had thoughts of self-harm in the past 6-months.
