Before, you had to have a lot of money to own a diversified portfolio. Or you had to gamble on individual companies, with expected returns equal to t bills but way way more volatile. Bad decision.

The worst type of information distortion the BBC do isn't the biased way they manipulate reports. Omission, not acknowledging something exists, is the most damaging thing they do.
A perfect example from today's news. The PM has tough financial decisions to make. His only options according to the BBC: raise taxes on all of us or cut spending hitting all of us. Implication being that we, the public, have to carry this burden. No one else.
No mention that other options exist:
- Wealth tax on the richest
- Financial transaction tax
- Higher VAT on luxury goods
- Ending corporate welfare for big companies like the major supermarkets
- Ending tax subsidies for fossil fuel giants
- Closing loopholes on corporate profit shifting
- £500bn uncollected by HMRC since 2010
And don't assume this is just the BBC. Sky, ITV, LBC and every national newspaper are doing exactly the same. These alternative choices simply don't exist in the national conversation.

The deadline for the University of Bristol to lodge an application to the Court of Appeal to challenge my victory at the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) has now passed.

It appears that the EAT has not received any such submission. This means that the legal attempt to undermine our victory protecting anti-Zionist views in UK law is now at an end.

All that remains is for the University of Bristol to compensate me for wrongful dismissal and discrimination. And, I look forward to Bristol University inviting me to discuss my reinstatement as Professor of Political Sociology.

I am absolutely with them on this. Every single Bus should have AC, especially in the driver’s cubicle. Buses go up to 35-38 degrees in this heat and with drivers being responsible for passengers, it is very negligent that this hasn’t been fixed or even looked at whatsoever because their wellbeing is just as important as everyone else who uses this form of transportation.

Whilst it’s sad to see, we’re used to newly planted saplings or individual street trees dying from lack of water. I don’t think we’re prepared for the shock of seeing our precious native deciduous woodlands around our dying as a result of drought though.

This weekend I was in a native woodland in Norfolk, and saw whole areas of the forest where trees were in a bad way. Many of the trees had clearly run out of water, with their leaves brown, crispy & burnt. Some trees are likely to die from this drought, many more if droughts keep happening.

Will we just standby & watch our forest & ancient woodlands die? We need immediate action on the ultimate cause of climate change of course. But given that extreme heat & drought is already here, we need to urgently put together a strategy to enable our forests to adapt to the changing climate as far as they are able to. Obvious things to do include restoring ancient woodlands to health by removing invasive species like rhododendron & cherry laurel; getting rid of non-native pine plantations & replacing with native trees that are more drought tolerant; blocking up drainage & creating ponds & swales so that woodlands retain water; expanding woodlands & creating buffer zones around them.

These are just a few ideas: more than anything, we need government to listen to tree experts, come up with a proper plan & then have the will to implement that plan as a matter of national importance. Without this, we may lose much of our ancient woodland in our lifetime.
