Financial advisors are a scam.

And the people that know how to generate high returns aren't allowed advise because their methods don't follow the financial advisor curriculum.

My dad made good money throughout his career and paid a financial advisor for over 20 years to manage it.

Since inception in 2003, his portfolio's annualized return was 7.63%. He's contributed $487,115 of his own money over that time, and it's grown to $1,531,253 today.

The S&P 500 has returned about 11.58% annualized over that same period.

Had his money simply tracked the index instead, he'd likely be sitting on somewhere around $3.4 to $3.6 million today, roughly $2 million more, with no advisor fees along the way.

The writing cadence, tone, and use of full stops is very AI-like.

Also when the same paragraph has something is a "filter" and something is the "signal" (AI often writes with these words when tasked with written output for stories).
