Exercising its Right of Reply against India following @UN_HRC's General Debate under Item 2, 🇵🇰 rejected India's deflection, distortion, and denial on Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.

🇵🇰 stressed:

➡️ The UN Security Council has mandated the exercise of self determination for the people of Jammu & Kashmir, which India has withheld for seven decades in violation of international law and relevant UNSC resolutions.

➡️ India speaks of democracy while deploying nearly a million troops in IIOJK; of rule of law while detaining thousands without charge, banning political parties, and locking up mosques; of development while issuing so-called “domicile certificates” to erase the territory's Muslim majority.

➡️ India's officials have confessed to terrorism and orchestrating killings in Pakistan and elsewhere. India has no standing to lecture the world on terrorism.

➡️ India’s attempts to weaponise transboundary flows violate international law, as confirmed by the Permanent Court of Arbitration.

➡️ The final disposition of Jammu & Kashmir requires implementation of UNSC resolutions and a free and impartial plebiscite under UN auspices.

➡️ Pakistan will continue to extend every political, moral and diplomatic support to the just cause of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.

Difficult for MEA to distance from BAPS group, as not only did PM inaugurate BAPS temple, the official itinerary for nearly every visiting leader includes a visit to Delhi's Akshardham temple, often accompanied by the PM.

Instead of distancing itself, MEA should investigate the allegations and advise PM on such engagements accordingly
