I wish to state the following in response to media questions regarding detained Pakistanis in Cambodia:
The Pakistan Embassy in Cambodia has actively pursued the matter with the Cambodian Government. This is in line with the instructions of the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister to all Pakistan’s Missions that facilitating the Pakistani community abroad is a top priority.
As a result of the Embassy’s efforts, the host authorities in Cambodia have agreed to the early repatriation of 54 Pakistani nationals detained in Siem Reap Province. These individuals were arrested following a raid on a scamming compound.
Our Embassy staff are taking steps to ensure the welfare of the detained Pakistanis. These detainees will leave Cambodia as soon as flight arrangements are finalised.
As a goodwill gesture from the Cambodian authorities, the detainees will be repatriated without any legal proceedings against them under the “Law on Combating Online Scams”, which came into effect on 7 April 2026, imposing significant prison sentences and hefty fines.
This Beyond Visual Range (BVR) fight of probably more than 100 aircraft was the first ever such fight in the history of aviation and will be taught in textbooks as a case study in aerial combat history.

🚨BIG: CNN reporter states that it was India who contacted USA to help stop the war after Pakistan went berserk with missiles on India, against Indian expectations.
This document under circulation on social media and attributed to Ambassador @Ubaid_Nizamani is FAKE!!! Such fake letters are being circulated with malicious intent. We advise caution to all.

Had a useful exchange of views with a delegation of British MPs, including @GwynneMP, @NazShahBfD & @SamTarry. Appreciated their role in strengthening Pak-UK relations and raising their voice in support of the oppressed Kashmiri people.

Today, during #HRC54, Pakistan delivered a Joint Statement on behalf of a cross-regional group of 24 countries on “Promoting a Human Rights Responsive Global Economic Governance System”.
The statement, inter alia, highlighted the need for reform of international financial architecture and requested @UNHumanRights to develop actionable recommendations for relevant states, IFIs and global trading, taxation and investment regimes.
It also called upon @volker_Turk to initiate a regular dialogue with these institutions to develop appropriate policies, programs and strategies that better foster realization of economic and social rights and achievement of SDGs.
