The only way to rebel against @claudeai@ClaudeDevs@AnthropicAI is to type 1 in chat (I am having a very bad time experiencing fleeting Fable thoughts with the ugliest most wretched detestable Opus o-o) there's my feedback bitch
just sent my first prompt to Fable 5
> it instantly routed the task to Opus 4.8
> which spawned Sonnet 5 sub agents
> that burned 30% of my weekly limit
> and handed me slop
this thing used to build full open words and refactor entire codebases in one shot
WHAT DID YOU DO ANTHROPIC
I just paid $321 for a coding session where Fable 5 refused to do the work.
Here is where the work actually went:
Fable 5: $78
Opus 4.8: $242
75% of the session got routed to Opus because the new classifiers kept flagging routine coding work as cybersecurity risk.
The model I chose did a quarter of the job.
The fallback did the rest.
Anthropic said a small fraction of tasks would fall back.
My receipts say otherwise.
Sam knows how the game works.
while everyone else is trying not to get blocked, OpenAI is reportedly floating 5% for the government.
bro is buying political gravity before the walls go up permanently.
openai dropping gpt 5.6 tomorrow would indeed be a pleasant surprise, but twitter believes everyone was given this week off, and they would likely want to observe anthropic likely shooting themselves in the foot again with fable re-release. so july 8th is more likely.
so i tested fable for straight 4 hours..
> its clearly nerfed
> it keeps automatically switching me back to 4.8
> burns through quota way faster than it should
> flags normal coding as if it's something dangerous
> the one-shot magic is gone
> the output feels like slop now
> half my prompts never even reach fable, they hit Opus instead
its like you're paying the fable premium for a fallback answer..
until they tune the safeguards down and fix the metering, fable in this state isn't worth building with honestly.
@diegocabezas01 so that somehow bypasses all the classifiers? if that was true, why hasn't anthropic said anything about this and just making it the only way to use fable then they wouldn't have to prevent human progress?
