@bellamadison22 @feral__mama @luinalaska My biological parents CHOSE to terminate their rights. Whether for financial or personal reasons is beyond me. But if they had come back at any point and tried to take me away from my family, I would’ve lost my marbles. There is no redemption here for them. They made their choice
@bellamadison22 @feral__mama @luinalaska I’m adopted so I’ll answer this. My biological parents were not stable enough to raise me. Adoption is a PERMANENT termination of parental rights. If you make the choice to place your children for adoption, you don’t get to come back later and say “just kidding”
Words once filled me with anxiety, fear, and pain. I was terrified of the future and often broke down. Now, holding my baby, I wish I could tell my past self, 'It will be beautiful.' No one plans for a child with a disability, but they’re so worthy of love💙💛#downsyndome
@SpunkyGal6 @KatinCork@alitlstrawberry Every time I’ve been hit, strangled, spit on, had urine thrown at me has been by a patient who knows exactly what they’re doing. Every time I have been groped or smacked it is by a patient who knows what they’re doing.
@Neo12229805@thevegdoc@DrSusanOliver1@TTUHSC No. If you’re there as a visitor it’s considered asking you to self-disclose. If you’re a patient, it’s asking for relevant information.
@OnseySeyon@MorePerfectUS And we don’t like having more patients than we can safely take care of in a shift. We don’t like unnecessarily risking peoples lives because admin won’t provide adequate staffing.
@stink_muffin @agbvenchy @polusyroy Doctors absolutely cannot arbitrarily declare someone brain dead for organ donation. There is a set of specific tests to be performed and criteria that must be met for brain death death to be determined. It is not a way to justify organ donation.
I want to be close to all doctors and nurses during this time in which the pandemic calls us to be near all men and women who suffer. Thank you for drawing near to them, thanks for your tenderness, thanks for your professionalism in taking care of the sick.
Happy National Adoption Month! There are 2 million couples waiting to adopt in the United States, which means there’s about 36 sets of parents for every 1 child in foster care.
