Kampuni ya malipo ya kimataifa ya NALA (@NALAmoney ) iliyoanzishwa na Mtanzania Benjamin Fernandes (@benji_fernandes ) imefanikiwa kupata mkopo wa hadi Dola za Marekani Milioni 50, sawa na zaidi ya Tsh Bilioni 130, kutoka Liquidity kupitia Mars Growth Capital inayoungwa mkono na MUFG Bank.

Fedha hizo zitatumika kuongeza huduma za malipo ya kimataifa, kupanua miundombinu ya kifedha inayotumia Stablecoins pamoja na kufungua njia mpya za kutuma na kupokea fedha kati ya Afrika, Asia, Ulaya na Marekani.

Akizungumzia na AyoTV hatua hiyo, Mwanzilishi na CEO wa NALA (@NALAmoney ) Benjamin Fernandes amesema ufadhili huo utaisaidia kampuni kuharakisha ukuaji wake duniani huku ikiendelea kujenga teknolojia ya kizazi kipya ya malipo ya kimataifa.

NALA kwa sasa inafanya kazi katika nchi 17 na ina liseni 23 duniani.

Akizungumza na AyoTV, @benji_fernandes amesema kampuni hiyo inaendelea na mchakato wa kupata vibali vinavyohitajika kutoka mamlaka husika ili kuanza kutoa huduma mpya kwa watanzania.

Amesema mchakato huo unahitaji muda, lakini ana matumaini ya kupata idhini zote muhimu.

Kwa sasa, Watanzania waliopo nyumbani na diaspora tayari wanaweza kupakua App ya NALA kupitia Play Store au App Store wakisubiri huduma kuanza rasmi nchini.

Nikaenda kibanda cha simu kupiga simu makao makuu ya OAU kuongea na Katibu Mkuu wa OAU. Ilikuwa simu za kulipia kwa sarafu. Sekretari akachukua muda mrefu kuniunganisha. Hela ikakata. Kiu ya kuongea na Dkt. Salim haikukidhi.

Mwaka 2002 ndio nikapata bahati ya kumwona sura kwa macho. Niliongoza kundi la wanafunzi wa Chuo Kikuu cha Dar es Salaam tulokwenda nyumbani kwake kumkaribisha nyumbani baada ya kumaliza muda OAU na kuibadilisha kuwa AU.

Maneno yake ambayo kamwe siyasahau na kuwa nayanukuu mara kwa mara ni "tukiwa na Afrika Kusini yenye demokrasia imara, Kongo (DRC) yenye amani/utulivu na Nigeria inayojitambua hakuna atakayeigusa Afrika".

Toka siku hiyo Dkt. Salim alikuwa 'mentor', baba, mlezi na rafiki wa kudumu mpaka leo. Mola ampe afya njema. Alikuwa Waziri Mkuu wa mwisho wa Nyerere na Waziri Mkuu kweli kweli. Waziri Mkuu wa mageuzi!
