@willteele The Truth is out? The plane was not even "shot down" as the 'initiating' event. The Gulf was in-port, Mayport, Florida at 8:30 pm on July 17, 1996 having been under hull inspections. She got underway on the 22nd to go to Charleston S.C for an on load.

@willteele Per Public records: the GULF was in-port, Mayport from July 9, 1996 to July 21, 1996 for a 'hull inspection': then on July 22, she was underway from Mayport to S.C. for and on load. She was in port on the 17th.

@willteele As fmr Navy 'we both know' that your scenario is not true nor documented. Two missiles off the rail and no self destruct? No one after 30 yr of investigative means has found the CARR or the Gulf, on surface radar. The Gulf, Inport Mayport until July 21 then to SC for onload.
