The Mara Elephant Project long-term monitoring (LTM) team was researching a herd of elephants in the field that took a break to bathe and drink from the iconic Mara River. They captured some amazing shots on August 4 of this herd enjoying the refreshing river.
A reminder that as gentle as elephants so often are, they are still wild animals who must protect themselves and their families. https://t.co/onhU0wTVWj

Amboseli belongs in the elite of Kenya’s national parks, and it’s easy to see why. Its signature attraction is the sight of hundreds of big-tusked elephants set against the backdrop of Africa’s best views of Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m). @Amboselinp@kwskenya@BrigJohnWaweru
