#Gaza : another night of horror in the middle areas.

Tents up in flames due to an airstrike on the courtyard of Al Aqsa hospital where people sought shelter.

Meanwhile, in the same area, an @UNRWA school was hit with 20 people reported killed. The school was planned to be used for the #polio vaccination campaign which started today.
We had to cancel the vaccination campaign in that school due to severe damage.

#Gaza is a never ending hell.
All of this must not become the new norm.
Humanity must prevail.

Early this morning, an airstrike hit the road between the Lebanese and the Syrian border at Masnaa. Even when fleeing for their lives, Syrians and Lebanese are not allowed to feel safe. This is unacceptable. Fortunately, there were no civilian casualties this time. As the road is destroyed, some are now literally walking into Syria. I spoke to some of them a few minutes ago. They were terrified.

425 collective sites have opened in BML, offering refuge to over 100,000 IDPs. While @UNHCRLebanon works relentlessly to support these centers with basic necessities, the need far outweighs the supply.
Sadly, some are left without shelter, forced to make their cars their homes.

The number of people who have crossed into Syria from Lebanon fleeing Israeli airstrikes — Lebanese and Syrian nationals — has reached 100,000. The outflow continues.

UNHCR is present at four crossing points alongside local authorities and @SYRedCrescent to support new arrivals.
