In Rwanda, the name Paul Kagame evokes more than leadership, it symbolizes resilience, vision, and Africa’s potential.
Rising from rebel movement commander to global statesman, Kagame has guided a nation from the brink of annihilation to international admiration. His legacy is not built on rhetoric but on results.

@IsabelleKarake I hope they caught it, because most of them will be excited about the sanctions as if it were their first time hearing the word, and they will leave out such crucial information as though it were not said.
M23 are no Rwandans. Period. They are Congolese.
RPA OPERATIONAL UPDATE — KIGALI FRONT (JUNE 5, 1994):
On June 5, RPA forces continued expanding control across Kigali while FAR defensive capacity increasingly weakened amid the ongoing Genocide against the Tutsi.
1. Gikondo Axis — RPA Gains:
• RPA forces captured most of Gikondo, leaving only small pockets of FAR resistance in the area. The gains further reduced FAR territorial control inside Kigali.
2. Mt. Kigali Offensive Begins:
• RPA’s 59th CMF commander Col. Charles NGOGA and Captain Andrew KAGAME (Retired Major General), Officer Commanding Tiger Company began offensive operations against Mt. Kigali, one of the remaining important FAR defensive positions overlooking parts of the capital.
3. Kigali Airport Closure:
• Continued shelling around Kigali forced the closure of Kigali Airport due to ongoing security threats and frontline combat activity.
4. FAR Supply Crisis:
• FAR forces increasingly faced shortages of weapons, ammunition and military supplies. The shortages reflected growing operational isolation and weakening battlefield sustainability.
Operational Insight & Core Perspective:
June 5 reflects accelerating RPA battlefield momentum inside Kigali, as FAR defensive positions shrank, supply shortages deepened, and coordinated offensives increasingly threatened the remaining high-ground strongholds around the capital.

Did Kinshasa 🇨🇩 invite Washington 🇺🇸 to "mediate," or was it the other way around? An illusion of "invited benevolence" cooked up for global consumption.
─────────────
Trump’s rhetoric—claiming Africans pleaded, "Please, take our minerals"—is a classic 19th-century colonial trope. It paints Africans as incapable of self-determination, inventing an "invitation" to mask a predatory takeover of existing African-led pourparlers & diplomacy.
The actual truth is that Washington entered uninvited.
After European mercenaries 🇪🇺, @MONUSCO 🇺🇳 and #Kinshasa's alliance failed, AND Goma fell in early 2025, AND after Kinshasa spent months sabotaging regional African-led talks, the U.S. hijacked the peace process to secure its own critical mineral supply chains and maintain already existing anti-Rwanda programed aggression.
The real tragedy is that Global South observers aren't immediately and furiously discarding Washington's claim. By treating Trump's transaction as a legitimate "mediation," local analysts validate the oppressor's narrative and accept the lie that Africa can only be saved in Washington.
This isn't a peace deal at all. By positioning the U.S. as the supreme broker, Washington grants itself the unilateral right to enforce a "bureaucratic freeze" on the battlefield to protect its tech extraction routes.
The end goal of this "mediation" trap is clear: to justify targeted future sanctions against the one actor who consistently refuses to kneel: Rwanda 🇷🇼.
This IS and has ALWAYS been about Rwanda 🇷🇼.

What drives @demontcl to produce such hostile reports about Rwanda is her personal grievance after being denied entry into the country for misrepresenting the purpose of her visit. Since then, her reporting has reflected a clear bias against Rwanda, to the point of portraying ordinary YouTubers as journalists.
The Rwanda Media Commission (RMC) does not recognize Augustin Nsanzimana and Emmanuel Niyonshuti as accredited journalists. They do not possess valid press cards and operate as YouTubers, like many others who publish content online.
Human Rights Watch is whitewashing the actions of these individuals, who were arrested on allegations of spreading false information likely to cause fear, panic, or harm among the public. Whether someone is a YouTuber or a journalist, no one enjoys immunity from prosecution when they violate the law. Freedom of expression does not exempt anyone from legal accountability.
Rwanda is a country governed by the rule of law, and it consistently ranks among the best-performing nations in Africa on governance and rule-of-law indicators.
This is a reality that @hrw continues to overlook in its assessment of Rwanda.

When politics is guided by sound principles and effective governance, it serves the interests of citizens and promotes national progress, as demonstrated by President #Kagame’s selfless and pragmatic leadership. #RwandaWorks
Rwanda remains fully committed to the Washington Accords and to working constructively with the United States, regional partners, and other stakeholders to advance peace, security, and prosperity in the Great Lakes region.

Les Congolais sont clairs et le disent tout haut… ils n’en veulent plus de Tshisekedi @Presidence_RDC et ne veulent pas que l’on touche à la constitution. … “qu’il prépare soit exile soit 2e sénateur à vie”
Rwanda moved from words to action. After ratifying the Washington Peace Agreement, President #Kagame's government proceeded with full implementation of the accord by lifting defensive measures despite DRC's deliberate continued support to the FDLR genocidal group.
The lifting of defensive measures was supposed to go in tandem with the neutralization of the FDLR, however, Tshisekedi has categorically refused to dismantle the genocidal outfit which remains integrated into the Congolese armed forces including the Republican Guard charged with the President's security.
What happens if one party implements the agreement and the other refuses?

The day Kagame’s Rwandan Patriotic Army (RPA) saved over 10,000 Tutsi
On June 2, 1994, one of the RPA’s most significant humanitarian rescue missions was conducted in Kabgayi, Southern Rwanda. It was an extraordinary feat that demonstrated the RPA’s commitment not only to defeating genocidal forces but also to saving civilians facing immediate danger.
As the freedom fighters conducted major operations on multiple fronts, one of the most significant developments occurred on the Southern Axis, where the RPA’s 157th Battalion carried forward its advancement from Bugesera through Gashora, Rilima, Rwabusoro, Nyanza, Ruhango, and Byimana.
Although the battalion had initially been expected to proceed directly toward Butare following the capture of Nyanza on May 30, 1994, orders from the then RPA’s Chairman of the High Command, Maj. Gen. Paul Kagame, redirected the force toward Kabgayi, where thousands of Tutsis faced imminent extermination by Interahamwe militias and retreating FAR elements.
After only three days of fighting, the 157th Battalion reached Kabgayi on June 2, 1994. Their arrival prevented a major massacre and resulted in the rescue of more than 10,000 Tutsi who had been trapped in the area.

Secretary of State Rubio actually knows that M23 is NOT a Rwandan movement, which is precisely why he doesn't expect its fighters to withdraw from Congo.
And that's all Rwanda wants the world to acknowledge.
The M23 is Congo's problem. It is not Rwanda's problem.
We will not carry the burden of your bad governance.
1)End hate speech. Eradicate genocide ideology.
2)Repatriate Congolese refugees.
3)Protect the citizens' rights of ALL Congolese without discrimination.
