A source close to the family of Rasoul Salehi, who was arrested during the crackdown on protests in Yazdanshahr, says he is now at risk of receiving the death penalty.
According to the source, after the killing of a teenager named Farshid Mokhtari during the January 2 protests, Salehi stood with residents outside the Najafabad courthouse and gave judicial authorities 24 hours to release detained youths.
