Chandigarh mayoral polls: Supreme Court slams Returning Officer who held the Chandigarh Mayor elections and says it is obvious that Returning Officer has defaced the ballot papers.

Supreme Court says, "Is this the way he conducts the elections? This is a mockery of democracy. This is a murder of democracy. We are appalled. This man should be prosecuted. Is this the behaviour of Returning Officer?"

एक चैनल के एंकर ने झारखंड के पूर्व मु��्यमंत्री श्री हेमंत सोरेन जी का उनकी आदिवासी पहचान के आधार पर जिस तरह अपमान किया है, वह अत्यंत शर्मनाक और निंदनीय है।

भारत की राष्ट्रपति, कई पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री, जज, किसान, अनगिनत अधिकारी, फौजी, नेता, मंत्री, कारोबारी और हमारे अनगिनत मेहनती और ईमानदार भाई बहन आदिवासी समाज से हैं। इस समाज की संस्कृति वो जीवन संस्कृति है जिसके उसूलों को आज पूरा विश्व अपना रहा है। जल जंगल ज़मीन का आदर करना, उसकी रक्षा करना, अपमानजनक नहीं, बल्कि प्रकृति को समझने की एक महान और गहरी सोच है।

शायद सरकार की चापलूसी में मीडिया संस्थान न्यूनतम लोकतांत्रिक नैतिकता भी खो चुके हैं, किसी एंकर द्वारा आदिवासियों, दलितों और वंचितों का खुलेआम अपमान करना हर स्तर पर गलत है। मानवीय गरिमा और आदिवासी अस्मिता का आदर करते हुए इन एंकर महोदय को आदिवासी समुदाय से माफ़ी माँगनी चाहिए।
