@costisd From my perspective working on Pandemic Pantry it involved evaluating how people currently use these platforms. I find instagram is moving away from a content app and almost is becoming a shopping app. TikTok very much is adapting their platform for collaboration and interaction.

@MSL_conference Exactly, I think it's on academics with established reputations/tenure to promote and legitimize open access publications so that we can make predatory journals obsolete.

Open access is a major conversation in the library space right now, one major concern being new academics who don't have an established reputation are less able to publish outside these journals and have requirements to meet for their employment.

The answer is $300 million. "Big Journal" charges researchers to publish their (often publicly funded) research, but then restrict it behind paywalls & "exorbitant fees," effectively "holding information hostage."

Such issues need to be recognized. #DEI4GLAM 4/12

@click_wonder I think big theme around this pandemic has been the way we're seeing the benefit for accessible services that the disability community has been asking for, and only given when it now is a need of non-disabled people.

@MSL_conference Not only this but the privilege of how many leading academic papers are written in english (even when coming out of non-english countries), the lack of recognition for papers written in other languages.

@stitchyourstory Love this idea and the diverse conversations that it will spark! I do wonder how would a museum handle xenophobic responses that would inevitably come from such a post?
