Smith Lab at University of Louisville - passionate about utilizing genomics technology to investigate host-pathogen interactions. Long-read fan. (she/her)
I am very humbled to be selected as the recipient of the UofL John M. Houchens prize. This prize is awarded to the doctoral student who presents the most meritoriuous dissertation for the current commencement. Thank you @SmithLab_UofL@ctwatson29@uofl for all the support!

.Currently accepting invitations to get my PhD, and/or @SmithLab_UofL, sponsored by Big Parm. Be the dairy product that takes a blatant stance in support of HIV cure!
This weekend, some of the Center’s MD/PhD students are at their retreat. Right now, Dan Nguyen (F30-awardee in the Hill Lab) is presenting one of his projects. And, in typical fashion, he is killing it.
Great way to end a long week. Thanks to my team and collaborators, particularly @EastonFord11 and @ctwatson29 who have made the move to @uofl four years ago the best decision I've ever made!
Honored to participate in #PRISMBangkok, hosted by @PacBio The enthusiasm for inclusive #immunogenomics research was wonderful. Excited to build collaborations around the world! Biscuit felt so welcome.
.@SmithLab_UofL : better immune rep databases are necessary. Current state of databases are horrible…population-specific genomic references needed for better mapping.
