BREAKING: MAGA Governor Greg Abbott's defiant response to the Justice Department backfires spectacularly as the DOJ slams him with a massive lawsuit over his refusal to remove his dangerous Rio Grande barriers.

To put it in words a Texan like Abbott will understand: Mess with the bull, you get the horns.

Here's how it went down...

Earlier today, Abbott announced that he will not be removing floating barriers in the Rio Grande that can cause migrants to drown despite the Justice Department informing him that such barriers are "dangerous and unlawful" and "cruel and putting both migrants and border agents in danger."

Instead, Abbott sent a letter to Biden saying that "Texas will fully utilize its constitutional authority to deal with the crisis you have caused. Texas will see you in court, Mr. President."

Now, he will see the administration in court.

The Justice Department is suing Texas and seeking an injunction to bar the state from building additional barriers while asking a court to order the state to take the existing barriers down at its own expense.

The lawsuit will likely be an absolute nightmare for Abbott because he doesn't have a leg to stand on legally. The barriers are a blatant violation of the Rivers and Harbors Appropriation Act which states that obstructive structures cannot be built in US waters without express permission from the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Texas never received that permission.

Biden is playing chess. Abbott is playing checkers.

BREAKING: Trump is hit with devastating news as over 20,000 Nevada Christians sign a petition demanding that Las Vegas cancel plans to hold a pro-Trump rally featuring Eric Trump, Alex Jones, Roseanne Barr and Michael Flynn on public property.

But it gets even worse for Trump…

The Christian leaders who launched the petition didn’t mince words in a brutal takedown, declaring that Trump and his “Reawaken America Tour” are “some of the worst examples of Christian nationalism today,” and that the “toxic” event promotes “antisemitism” and “political violence.”

But they didn’t stop there, declaring that, “Every ReAwaken America event is a toxic, two-day parade of pro-Trump preachers, MAGA celebrities, and QAnon conspiracy theorists mixing election denial, violent rhetoric, and deadly COVID-19 misinformation with baptisms and praise music — all in Jesus’ name. An event that promotes antisemitism, lies, and even outright political violence should never be welcome on public property. Let’s speak out together now and ask North Las Vegas Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown to revoke ReAwaken America’s permits and decline to rent them public facilities.”

The group concluded its takedown by declaring that “toxic nationalism has no place in a publicly owned venue,” and that the First Amendment “doesn’t protect the incitement of political violence nor obligate taxpayers to platform hate speech like antisemitism.”

BREAKING: Mike Pence snaps at CNN host Dana Bash in front of millions of live viewers after she confronts him for declaring that Trump shouldn’t be prosecuted for inciting the January 6 insurrection even though Trumpers chanted “hang Mike Pence!”

It all started when Pence began to make the case that Trump shouldn’t be prosecuted. At this point, Bash cut him off, telling Pence, “That is pretty remarkable that you're not concerned about it, given the fact that they wanted to hang you on January 6.”

A visibly flustered Pence snapped at her, saying, “Well, Dana, now wait a minute! I want to say there has been an effort to take those that perpetrated violence on January 6 and use a broad brush to describe everyone in our movement."

"No, I didn't mean to do that," the CNN host protested.

Then, Pence pulled out all the stops to defend his extremist Republican Party and its unhinged supporters, declaring that “The people in our movement, the people who rallied behind our cause in 2016 and 2020 are the most god-fearing, law-abiding and patriotic people in this country and I just -- I won't stand for this kind of generalizations and they have no basis in fact.”

Sorry, Pence… but it is a FACT that the vast majority of Republicans STILL believe Trump’s Big Lie and support and defend the dangerous insurrectionists who brought gallows to the Capitol and stormed the building while chanting “hang Mike Pence.”

It’s truly pathetic to see him continue to whitewash the events of that deplorable day — and defend a party that defends dangerous insurrectionists to this very day.

BREAKING: MAGA viewers flipping channels this morning stumble across a brutal verbal dismemberment of their cult leader on MSNBC's Morning Joe — and it's easy to see why these right-wing snowflakes are furious about it.

Joe Scarborough, a former friend of Trump's turned bitter enemy, said that Trump really does not seem to understand how much trouble he's facing.

In particular, he focused on the recent video that Trump shared in which he ominously said that it would be "dangerous" for Special Counsel Jack Smith to put him in jail — implying that MAGA supporters could carry out another insurrection or terror attacks.

"I don't know if Donald Trump understands," Scarborough said. "He's talking like a mobster. 'It would be a shame, very dangerous for Jack Smith and his family' and they're more dangerous now than in 2020 or 2016."

"He's just so stupid, he really is," said Scarborough. "He just doesn't understand. He's going up against the feds!"

Scarborough then let loose with an epic rant, ripping Trump to shreds and destroying lingering hopes amongst his supporters that he might somehow wriggle out of trouble—

"He doesn't understand that he can't bully and bluster and threaten his way out of criminal charges that are coming, because he broke the law, because he stole nuclear secrets, because he stole secret plans to attack Iran, because he stole secret military secrets, because he has, people all around him, all around him, on Jan. 6, that are testifying against him. No Democrats! No moderate Republicans, all Trumpers!" Scarborough went on.

"Everybody that he ever hired has gone before the grand jury, everybody that was around him Jan. 6 went before the grand jury. All Trumpers!" he said. "And he's going to be charged for some of the most serious crimes in America, and his response?"

"His response, instead of talking to his lawyers saying, 'Hey, get me a deal. I don't know what it's going to look like, but get me a deal, because they've got me dead to right. My own people are the people testifying against me. Get me a deal.' Instead of that he goes on an Iowa radio show and like a mobster threatens Jack Smith," Scarborough went on.

"Has he not looked at pictures of Jack Smith?" he asked. "This guy looks like the judge on 'Andor,' all right? He looks like the guy that takes the good guy from the 'Star Wars' galaxy and throws him into jail for life. He doesn't understand."

"Does he think Jack Smith is going to be intimidated by mob-like threats?" he concluded.

The answer, of course, is no. Jack Smith will not back down and he is more than a match for the aging, ignorant, impulsive Trump.

When the dust finally settles, the smart money is on Trump ending up behind bars.

BREAKING: The lead investigator for the January 6 Committee drops bombshell, puts Trump on notice that Special Counsel Jack Smith’s target letter means that he will be charged as “the leader” of the “conspiracy” to steal Biden’s win on January 6.

But it gets WORSE for Trump…

The investigator, Timothy Heaphy declared that Trump will be federally charged for the exact same “serious” crime that January 6 Committee member Jamie Raskin recommended that he be charged with in his final report, noting that “the order that Raskin used is exactly the order that I think we'll see in the indictment. The lead charge here, in my view, is federal charge 1512(c). The evidence will show that the president and his co-conspirators specifically intended to obstruct, impede, and interfere with an official proceeding, a joint session in which President Biden's election was eventually certified.”

But it gets better. The lead investigator then put Trump’s inner circle that they may be charged as well, declaring that, “I think you'll see an indictment that will charge the former president, the leader of a group. Conspiracy is an agreement, a group of people that agree to commit additional crime, which in this case is obstruction of the proceedings. So, you could see four, five, six people. It may go all the way out to the Republican National Committee operatives that were suggesting the submission of the fake elector schemes, or it may be a more tightly held inner circle? Eastman, Giuliani, Jeff Clark, Mark Meadows… the entire inner circle who were helping the president essentially execute that multipart plan that the select committee laid out could have exposure."

If you are calling to boycott Disney and Hollywood, or hoping for them to lose money because they decided to tell a make-believe story using characters that look different than the original make-believe story from 1812 (211 years ago), then you are trying to generate outrage and divide people.

Disney is doing the opposite. They are making a movie that should appeal to everyone and that represents society, not some 211 year old German fairy tale.

BREAKING: Trumper Congress-members Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene sue Occupy Democrats.

If you can’t beat them — or silence them — then sue them.

That seems to be the operative principle behind the lawsuit that Representatives Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) just filed against Occupy Democrats and the Occupy Democrats Election Fund PAC.

The pair of right-wing extremist MAGA lawmakers also sued the cities of Anaheim and Riverside in California, as well as the NAACP, the California LULAC state organization, Unidos For La Causa, the Greater Riverside Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the League of Women Voters Riverside, Women’s March Action, the Riverside County Democratic Party, Antiracist Riverside, and Raincross Hospitality Management.

To add insult to injury, the lawyer representing Greene and Gaetz in their suit is none other than attorney John Eastman. He’s facing legal issues of his own as the State Bar of California holds hearings to strip him of his law license, arguing that the former Trump lawyer “knowingly and willfully pushed false and outlandish allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 election and promoted an ‘unlawful’ scheme to overturn the election results.”

The civil rights suit claims without stating a factual basis that Occupy Democrats, in conjunction with the other groups listed above, were all part of a grand conspiracy to prevent the pair from staging one of their “Put America First” political rallies at venues in Southern California back in July of 2021.

As Occupy Democrats reported at the time, Reps. Gaetz and Greene had considerable difficulty securing a venue for their controversial “Put America First” rallies, which were named after a slogan originally used by Nazi sympathizers opposed to our nation’s entry into World War II to fight fascism.

After initially booking a private venue in Laguna Hills — a town in the traditionally arch-conservative Orange County section of the state — the pair were rebuffed when the owners of the Pacific Hills Banquet & Event Center discovered exactly who would be speaking at the event.

Gaetz and Greene were then forced to seek a last-minute substitution for their original venue and approached Raincross Hospitality Management which managed the Riverside Convention Center for the county.

After a contract was signed, public outcry over the event led Raincross to cancel the even less than 24 hours before it was to take place.

And what was Oppupy Democrats’ alleged conspiratorial role in all this?

Posting a tweet that said, “RT IF EVERY CITY SHOULD DO THE SAME!” as the filing in the lawsuit renders it.

Occupy Democrats issued the following statement in response to the lawsuit from Representatives Green and Gaetz:

“Myself and Occupy Democrats will remain steadfast in our commitment to defending our organization and its constitutional rights to free speech and freedom of the press,” says Occupy Democrats Founder Omar Rivero. “We will not be intimidated by Rep. Greene, who helped incite Trump’s deadly insurrection, nor by Gaetz, who is currently being investigated by Congress for credible allegations of his involvement in sex trafficking with a convicted criminal.”

We simply reported on and reacted to the news of Congressman Gaetz and Congresswoman Taylor Greene’s political failures, and nothing more,” says Occupy Democrats Executive Editor Grant Stern. “We will vigorously seek dismissal and hold the members of Congress and their infamous counsel John Eastman accountable to the fullest extent of the law for their actions.”

We firmly believe that the lawsuit filed against Occupy Democrats is wholly without merit and is a transparent attempt to stifle free speech. Our organization has consistently exercised its First Amendment rights to express opinions and critique the conduct of public officials, including Rep. Greene and Rep. Gaetz.”
