Join me, @historical_kate Dr Sally Waugh, @Krystelvk AND veterans Betty Webb MBE and Ruth Bourne @bletchleypark for a special one day symposium celebrating ‘Women in Intelligence during World War Two’.
Details of my talk:
EXTRAORDINARY JOURNEYS: MI6 WOMEN AT BLETCHLEY PARK
During the Second World War, thousands of women worked at Bletchley Park. Some of their stories have been told and continue to be shared, while others, such as those who worked for Britain’s foreign intelligence service, MI6, have yet to be celebrated. Drawing upon new research in my debut book, Her Secret Service: The Forgotten Women of British Intelligence, this talk focuses on the small contingent of MI6 women whose extraordinary journeys in the clandestine world converged at ‘Station X’.
