Giddyup!
@darrenmarble Ah, gotcha.
I felt gulag work culture was always a bit different than entrepreneurs imposing it on themselves...
But I do see how those lines likely no longer exist in our John Henry vs the AI Rock Drill end of days.
What a season. I am so proud of the whole club.
Best of luck to the 4 players-off teams.
To every single person who has visited us this season from me Shelley & our team can i say a heartfelt thank you. You really are the best
Enjoy your summer reds.
Up the beautiful town❤️
@GeorgeJonesWxm@fearlessidzine Definitely a lack of team connectivity and flow, surprisingly consistent across all positions/players.
Late season fatigue?
🚨The updated Metabolic Map.
Yesterday I said the Metabolic Map I proposed in 2013 needed to evolve. That map helped me and others translate complex laboratory findings into practical guidance for training and performance.
Today I’m sharing the updated model.
In my view, this represents a shift in how we should understand exercise metabolism.
For over two decades, I focused on what the body burns, fat vs carbohydrates, and how lactate serves as a powerful proxy of that process.
After many years of working with world-class athletes, patients and laboratory research, my view is clearer: exercise metabolism is a continuum of metabolic states, defined by the relationship between glycolysis and mitochondrial capacity.
From equilibrium to drift to overload.
Lactate is the signal of where the system stands, and how we can track metabolism across all exercise intensities.

@D4RW1NEXE@bryan_johnson This is a serious issue. I've been getting involved in youth ⚽️ athlete development and one of the biggest constraints in poor communities is field access.
We've looked at brownfield remediation, but never considered what replaces it to be frought with the same toxic issues!
@bryan_johnson@Liv_Boeree I was recently visiting the performance director of a La Liga ⚽️ team in Spain and he said they watered their turf fields as much as their grass ones. I found that curious at the time, but perhaps they're trying to slow the chemical breakdown and prolong useful life?
@tunguz@bryan_johnson Maybe just maybe people can get that complex multidimensional problems compounded over generations require a little more attention to detail to unpack and solve.
Then again, maybe just maybe people no longer have, or never did have, the mental capacity for such thinking, lol!
@bryan_johnson What do you suggest we do for professional teams, and especially youth academies, who depends upon these toxic fields?
I'm especially thinking about global ⚽️ youth programs where many temperate countries rely on turf fields for training throughout winter months.
@mdvex22 In the states we view this similarly pernicious trend as big box retailers crushing local businesses by underpricing. Amazon has taken it's pound of flesh as well. Imagining those two forces combined w government hate overlays – moms, pops & artisans don't stand a chance.
