DEAR EIGENLAYER TEAM:
LRTs have contributed billions of dollars in TVL for Eigenlayer, yet LRT users are being treated differently.

Here are some suggestions for the @eigencloud team:

I believe the team is aware of the ongoing discussions in the Eigenlayer Discord. Here's why the community is upset about the recent $EIGEN airdrop:

@eigenfoundation released the updates regarding the 100 bonus allocation on May 3, 2024, stating that there would be a 100 $EIGEN bonus for ALL USERS who had interacted with EigenLayer before April 29th.

However, today's announcement mentioned that only new direct Eigenlayer restakers from March 15th to April 29th are eligible for the 100 $EIGEN bonus.

This means that any new user who staked their ETH on any LRT/DeFi platform (such as @ether_fi , @renzoai , @puffer_finance , @pendle_fi ) between March 15th and April 29th would not be eligible for the 100 $EIGEN bonus.

Eigenlayer paused deposits for most of the time, only briefly opening them in early February for a few days and fully reopening on April 14th. As a result, many users who wanted to support @eigencloud could not deposit to Eigenlayer most of the time and instead deposited to different LRTs/DeFi platforms.

However, users who staked between March 15th and April 29th on these platforms are not eligible for the 100 $EIGEN bonus, despite their support for Eigenlayer.

Here’s how you can fix it: 👇

1. Treat LRT/DeFi users who staked between March 15th and April 29th equally by granting them the 100 $EIGEN bonus.

2. Too many sybil? Consider implementing a threshold to manage the number of qualifying wallets. For example, setting a threshold of 50 Eigenlayer points would disqualify many sybil accounts that restaked only 0.01 ETH during the 45-day period from March 15th to April 29th.

50 EL points could be equivalent to:
0.1 ETH staked for 21 days
0.05 ETH staked for 42 days
