Back on October 30th, I wrote here begging you to help activate Starlink in Tanzania after the government shut down the internet. During that blackout, reports documented horrific violence against civilians and confirmed killings. CNN has now released a detailed investigation into these incidents:

We have reached out to the U.S. State Department and other global bodies seeking help to ensure this won’t happen again. Access to information is a human right, and Tanzanians were denied that right while rogue police and armed groups committed abuses & killings that were only exposed once the internet returned. We cannot allow this to happen again. You can help us. We can collectively donate. Global organizations can help Tanzanians.
We fear this could happen again in early December as many Tanzanians plan peaceful demonstrations against the killings, the stolen elections, and in defense of democracy and human rights. We still have time to act-please help.
To the government responsible for these acts against its own people: you have been exposed, and you will continue to be exposed. Satellites are everywhere now, and the violence was recorded. Now, more than ever, the world is watching-on December 9th and every day before or after, even when demonstrators return to their homes. Nothing done in darkness stays in darkness. The truth will be revealed, one way or another. Forensic investigations will uncover the evidence, no matter how hard you try to hide it. Human bloodshed can never be erased; history records everything, and justice will be served.
To those who want the best for Tanzania: do your research, stay alert, and stay informed. Speak out. Listen to the voices calling for justice. Anyone supporting what is happening in Tanzania-or attacking those raising the alarm-is contributing to the harm maana ndiyo nyinyi wauaji. Today is not like years ago when CCM believed it could hide anything from the world. Listen to these young voices. They are the future, and they will serve their nation proudly👇🏽.

We will keep advocating and fighting for justice. Truth shall win
Unajiuliza ni mwizi? Hapana! Ana silaha? Hapana!
