We had a very special visitor today – Lemmy our new Therapy Dog and his owner Rob Ward. Lemmy visited patients and staff on our Complex Rehabilitation Unit and with his official ID badge, volunteer neckerchief and adorable personality, he made quite the impression! 🐶 🙋♀️ 😍
Many happy returns to our patient Loghlin, who celebrated his 18th birthday recently. Staff on Lipton Ward and members of the multidisciplinary team caring for him helped make the day special for Loghin, who has been a patient at the hospital since March, and his family.
For some of our most ill patients in ITU, we use our innovative garden room, which is situated in its own courtyard, to enable patients like Gerard to have a visit from his favourite pet Clive! Huge thanks to staff in ITU for arranging this visit! #FridayFeeling
Great day delivering an Advanced Trache Skills Study Day to internal staff! Thanks to all attendees and to everyone from the wider MDT who delivered talks inc; ENT, rehab medicine, outreach, resp PT & SLT. Curious about external interest for similar future courses? @WaltonCentre
Brilliant teaching on Neuro ACCP development day today by Greg Musial - a senior Critical Care Pharmacist who will leave a void when he moves to his community role @WaltonCentre
Our work with the @WaltonCentre has helped combat the effects of #delirium in patients. Living Sky systems were installed in the ITU which has helped those suffering from delirium symptoms. #WDAD21
