A benefit of joining the Space Industry Skillnet that Peter O'Kane, Engineering Manager @RealtimeTechno4, highlights is the level of quality training we offer. Peter recognises that this is a key factor in attracting people to their business. https://t.co/Wf1qvjX76F #SpaceWeek🛰️

☄️Great to attend the #techBREK network & learn series yesterday delivered by @MastercardIRE , @ICTSkillnet and @SpaceSkillnet to discuss the exciting and expanding world of space technology in Ireland.
The Irish Space Technology Showcase took place today at EastPoint, Dublin. Organised by Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland , with support from the European Space Agency - ESA and the Irish delegation to ESA, the event was opened by Emer Higgins, the Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail. It featured 22 innovative Irish companies and 15 European space-relevant entities, fostering commercial partnerships and collaborations within the space supply chain. The keynote address was delivered by Charlotte Mathieu, Head of the Industrial Policy and Space Economy Division at ESA, with presentations from industry leaders such as Airbus Defence and Space, SME4SPACE, and Eurospace. This showcase provided a significant opportunity to explore the Irish space ecosystem and understand the national strategy for this dynamic sector.
2023 was a significant year for the Irish space industry. By the end of last year, 109 Irish companies were actively engaged with the European Space Agency - ESA and ESA awarded €9.9m in contracts to Irish companies primarily focused on industrial activities.
The figures were published today in Enterprise Ireland's ‘Space Activities in Ireland 2023’ Report, which is available here: https://t.co/uXxHn946iR
