@atxgoodguy I’m kinda late on this, but find it fascinating. Is this based on current world records or world records at the time? Also, Sydney and Allison would show up on this too.
@stevemagness Yesterday you said she needed to have 1:53 speed at the minimum. For an endurance based miler, what would that need to translate to for a 400m PR at a minimum? 54 400m speed? I don’t see how anyone can run a mile that close to their top end speed.
@jgault13 No crowd made it really boring to watch…like watching NFL during Covid. Tons of dead time on the broadcast that made the whole experience feel empty. It’s hard to motivate me to go back and watch two more days of this.
This IOC study is such bad science.
It compared unfit Transwomen (45 vo2max) to fit females (54 vo2max)
It's akin to putting D1 female runners against Joe the jogger in a mile, watching Joe get smoked and declaring "Women are faster then men!"
We need good science, not junk:
@markdtooley I would guess with the Texas disaffiliations, the real number of UM people who have left through their local church disaffiliating is +40%…and that is not a “splintering,” like so many claim.
@markdtooley Everyone is talking about how many churches are leaving. The real question is how many UMs are leaving. Is anyone paying attention to attendance in these churches that are departing? In my Conf it was about 12% of churches but over 30% of people.
@RevAdamHamilton @jnshep4 @markdtooley To the SBC point, they have lost a lot lately… but their decline is very recent and has to be tied to scandals, which may be another argument against denominations. A serious question should be: does my denom help or hinder the ability of my church to make disciples?
