Are you interested in joining me and a superstar team to build an entirely new health system, launching first in Austin, TX? While still in stealth, we are hiring in several areas and especially need primary care. Connect through https://t.co/Dz3UV5HYPI
Introducing members of the #HIEx Investor Coalition for #SDG3: @Stacey_Chang is the founder of the @DesignInHealth an academic institution @UTAustin dedicated to applying creative design approaches to solving complex large-scale #healthsystem challenges.
@DesignInHealth @uthealthaustin@DellMedSchool It's so gratifying to see design in the domain of health get recognized for its impact. In case you missed the live broadcast, here it is again! https://t.co/GEYYdqu2mX
My morning reading. Wonder what other innovations this pandemic is going to mainstream? And, what unaccounted for time (and resources) we can better utilize? @DesignInHealth @uthealthaustin@DellMedSchool
These conversations reinforce that there is no separating our pursuit of better health from all the other interrelated systemic social factors. Trying to address them in silos is not just ineffective, but blind. Deeply appreciate @ResaELewiss and @ohrachelsmith for the dialogue!
In a moment when the upcoming election gives us a chance to voice what really matters, this is an important opportunity to lend your thoughts to Foresight, a remarkable effort to define better systems for health and well-being. Spare a few minutes and be heard! #Futureforhealth
Can you give 15 minutes of your time to #AddYourVoice to FORESIGHT? https://t.co/vTehvNhF9z
We want to hear from YOU. Our system for #health is broken. Everyone deserves to enjoy good health + #wellbeing + we need a fresh vision + bold new ideas to get us there.
#Futureforhealth
Imagining our new normal in response to the Covid-19 crisis might just accelerate the changes we've been aiming for all along. What was most revealing about this collection of forward-thinking notions is how they respond to fundamental human needs, pandemic or not.
The Covid-19 crisis might just be a catalyst for rethinking the practice of family medicine and moving toward a new model: a return to the personal house call, albeit a much more modern version says Stacey Chang https://t.co/HbIBWCrM9E
@DesignInHealth Good grief, this is really an ongoing series? I thought it would be a passing fancy. We should at least do the designers justice. 1 is Fallingwater by Frank Lloyd Wright, 2 is a classic Syd Mead illustration of a future world, 3 is Beaker of Muppets fame.
@DesignInHealth This is the Stelvio Pass in Italy, on the other side of the Swiss Alps. I will drive this one day, on the edge of control in some exotic Italian sports car.
@DesignInHealth For the record, I neither sanctioned nor condone of this thread, but it's making me laugh out loud. 😂 As a way to mask the humdrum nature of my home office, and to lighten the load of neverending Zoom calls, I'm glad its amused someone!
One of the privileges of working so closely with those on the frontlines is the opportunity to apply Design where it can matter most. This effort by the Institute consumed the team, but every member who worked on it appreciated the chance to make a difference in this moment.
Amazing to see how adversity can galvanize response amongst disparate stakeholders. If ever there was a time that will catalyze #wholesystemredesign, this is it. Brother-in-arms @COSMakin, hope your recovery can reinforce @NorthMcrGH_NHS transformation.
