I noticed a lot of kids are moving to SF this summer

So I wrote a general warning from my experience moving to SF for the summer when I was 16

the buildillinois summit was last night.

12 teams demoed rockets, distributed gpu networks, humanoid robots, protein gummy bears, and more.
260+ students pulled up during midterms.

the @uofillinois is back.

huge shoutout to @_sonith @landon20s @1517fund @hankcouture @boardy_ai @startupxchange and everyone else who made it possible.

uiuc has always produced some of the best engineering talent in the country—but historically, not many builders (sorry @pmarca)

buildillinois has changed that. in the past year, we've hosted retreats, hackathons, demo days, and firesides for thousands, collaborating with @sequoia, @soma_capital, @zfellows, @google, @stackblitz, and more.

now, on april 12th, our best builders are stepping into the spotlight, showcasing projects like:
- ai agents
- autonomous robots with @huggingface
- liquid rockets
- cancer-detection wearables
- nba-partnered ai lip-sync tech
- and much more

but this is just the beginning.
